The Department of Tourism Guiding was established in 1997, and it is the first Tourism Guiding department which gives bachelors degree in Turkey. The objective of the department is to train qualified tour guides, employers, minor and top executives by providing them with scientific and quality education and training. In line with this objective we aim to train qualified tour guides, executive candidates who have a good command of a foreign language, knowledge of the history, culture and the geography of Turkey, who are able to think analytically,who possess effective communication skills,and whose problem solving, management and organization knowledge have improved, who is equipped with social values such as tolerance, kindness, respect and honesty and who has leadership and representation skills. In order to graduate from this department students are required to serve an internship (job training) for 90 days.
